Youth Art Team

The Youth Art Team is group of students ages 5 to 18 who believe that art has the power to change people and places. Students gather every season to learn, create, and show leadership in our community through large-scale art projects. As students learn to solve creative problems together, they also raise money to help fund their projects and to share with others. Through their work since 2010, the Youth Art Team has financially supported the creative work of people in Waterloo, Des Moines, Chicago, & Haiti.

At its heart Youth Art Team follows Jesus’ model in the story of the boy offering his five loaves and three fishes to feed the multitude. Youth Art Team encourages adults to listen to young people and creates space in the world for children and youth to lift up their voices, spreading messages of love and hope through our communities.
